Should I get gutters replaced at the same time as a roof replacement?

It’s efficient to do both together since scaffolding and access are already in place, but it’s not required — we install gutters as a standalone project just as often as bundled with a roof replacement.

Are gutter guards worth it?

It depends on your tree coverage and gutter type. We’ll walk you through the tradeoffs for your specific property rather than pushing one style as a universal fix — some guards perform poorly with fine pine needles or heavy leaf volume.

Can gutters actually prevent ice dams on their own?

Gutters help move meltwater away from the roof edge, but if the root cause is inadequate attic ventilation, gutters alone won’t solve it. A roof inspection that includes an attic check tells you which factor is actually driving the problem.

What size gutters do I need?

Most single-family homes do fine with 5″ K-style. Larger roof planes, steeper pitches, or homes that have had overflow problems typically need 6″. We size this during your estimate based on actual roof area, not guesswork.

Do you repair existing gutters or only install new ones?

Both — resealing seams, re-pitching sagging sections, and replacing damaged downspouts are common repair calls that don’t require a full gutter replacement.
